Recently, we had a 'high tea' time at Theater hotel in a city not so far from where I live. I saw a rose inside the hotel and had to take a photo of it. I then used it as a reference for this painting.

Hyacinth blueviolet

I'm not always successful in painting without sketching first. So with this hyacinth I am back with a pencil sketch first which made me paint tightly. 
We bought this flower from AH supermarket in our neighborhood.
