watercolor sketch


I had used watercolor directly to make this sketch. I was just trying to practice on Hahnemuhle watercolor paper Quattro 300g when I did this. I'm beginning to like the paper. In Dutch this bird is called 'ijsvogel' and kingfisher in English. Hope everybody has a great day.

    ich habe den "eisvogel" auch schon einige male gemalt, jedoch in acryl. mit watercolor stelle ich mir das sehr schwierig vor, aber du hast es wunderbar gemeistert, sehr schönes aquarell eines tollen vogels

    Love this little bird, very well rendered and I like the eye that really seems to pop out of his head...so real !
