Chinese lantern at De Orchideeën Hoeve

This painting will always remind me of my wonderful trip to The Orchideeën Hoeve (www.orchideeenhoeve.com), a tropical garden center in Luttelgeest, Holland, in July 2011. It was there where I took my reference photos of Chinese lantern plants (Physalis alkekengi) I used for this painting. This painting is in watercolor and the size is 27x35 cm or about 10.6x13.8 inches.

  3. Lovely, delicate work Cora. You've really captured the "papery" feel of these plants.

  4. By the way, I tried to comment on your previous painting of Liit, the dog. I was about ot post it when everything crashed! Just wanted to say what a great picture it is and how you got so much character in the portrait!

  7. Deliziosi questi fiori, Cora. Un soggetto difficile, dipinto molto bene. Abbraccio.
