Orange bell pepper

Last week, I bought Fabriano Artistico white watercolor paper because I wanted to try it, and it was on sale. This bell pepper is my first try, but at this time I could not say if I like the paper. In this painting, I did the underpainting in wet in wet while the glazings in dry in wet. In my next try, I'll paint in a loose technique which is my prepared style.
Have a good and relaxing weekend to all of you.

Red Bell Pepper I

I tried again this morning to paint red bell pepper in watercolors. I've done this to achieve my intention of bringing back my painting routines. And here is the result. I forgot to take a photo before framing this, so I guess some light reflections from the glass can be noticed.

a quick sketch of a red bell pepper

After two months without touching my paintbrushes, I felt like how I will start again painting. It was a strange feeling, I thought. However, because I missed so much my brushes and paints, with my brush and watercolors I sketched this red bell pepper thinking 'Let me see what will come out'. And this is what I got. I hope all of you my blogger friends are doing great.

Perfect combination

Every time I prepare vegetable salad during meal time, I see to it that it includes fresh organic red bell pepper or 'paprika'. I really like its taste. I started mixing it with my salad since a nice dinner in one of the hotels in Frankfurt, Germany......One day I could not think of what to paint, then suddenly I thought of the bell pepper in the refregirator. An orange is a good combination with red, so there you are both are now standing on the table.

My simple vegetable salad looks like what you see below. I make my own dressing or I just use the available caesar salad dressing in the supermarket.
