Roses in loose brushstrokes

I found time yesterday to quickly and loosely paint these roses.
I hope you are all having a good start of the year.  Have a wonderful day.

A Sketch of Abstract Roses

I want to paint something that will give a feeling of Spring season. But for the meantime, here is a small sketch of abstract roses which I quickly did a few days ago.

May you all have a wonderful and happy Spring season.

Five Roses

I have not been painting for a couple of weeks now because there are other matters that I have to attend to. This painting is from my collection of 6x4 inches paintings which we use as greeting cards. I hope all of you are doing well.

Painting Roses on Valentine's Day.

I spent some minutes on Valentine's Day to quickly paint these roses. I always enjoy this kind of fast and quick painting exercise. Usually I don't do pencil sketch when I do this exercise. This painting is about 30x40 cm in size and done with watercolor.

Loose watercolor roses

These past days I have little time to paint. However I managed to do painting exercises in which I produced some loose small paintings, just like these roses.

A card-size sketch of roses

I am back from my long trip. Hope you are all well and enjoying your arts.
I sketched these roses on a card-size (4.5 x 6 ") watercolor paper. Sketching in between
what I did during my trip was really pleasurable and lightened my tiresome day.
I'm glad I brought with me my travel box size cotman watercolor paints.

Painting these roses was a joy

Just painted these roses in acrylic - about 30x40 cm. We had them in a vase last August in our living room. I used one of the photos I took then as reference for this painting. Have a lovely weekend.

loosely painted roses

A few days ago, I got some motivation to practice again painting roses in a loose style. I usually use watercolors in doing this exercise. But since I have already some canvas panel, this time I used my acrylic paints. Below is one of the two pieces I have done so far. The size of the painting is 13x18cm or 5x7in. Have a nice weekend to all.

a short exercise in watercolors

With my desire to use other medium - other than watercolors, I started painting more using acrylic these past days. However, today I suddenly realized I am missing my favorite watercolors, so I did a little exercise following the loose style of Jean Haines of painting roses. In the first stage of my effort, I got what you see below. I made this image while I was waiting the paint to dry before I continue working on the next stage of the exercise. I am curious how this image will look like in the next stage.
Hope you are all well and have an enjoyable weekend.

yellow orange roses

I did this piece when I had a 'play moment' feeling a week ago.
I used acrylic on acrylic paper for this.
