open matured coconuts

 
This is another practice I've done in watercolors. I decided to put lighter colors in the background to see clearly the shadows and to make the painting simple. Meanwhile as I look further in the painting, my eyes are  telling me to do some more finishing touches with it, but at the moment I don't know how to go further. So I'll leave it like this for now.   1. Oh wow Cora, dit is een prachtig schilderij. Ik persoonlijk zou er niet meer te veel aan doen. Wat een geweldig origineel onderwerp. De kleuren zijn prachtig. Ook de donker grijs aan de binnenkant. Echt heel mooi!

    1. Dankje wel dat je dit onderwerp mooi vindt. Ik ben niet echt helemaal tevreden met hoe ik dit schilderij gemaakt heb. Maar ben ik blij dat ik dit heb geschilderd. Groetjes en het allerbeste.

  3. What a fabulous subject Cora. Great start. Good advice by Jane above. Sometimes we just need to step back for a while to see how we want to progress.

  5. Cora - what a great job - I love the shadows you have showing. It is always so hard for me to get the shadows just right but you certainly did.
